Our client is a successful metal casting company making a range of bespoke, art, commercial and one-off products for a wide range of manufacturing, engineering and councils.
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for understanding, developing and managing the costs associated with the successful cost management of the business as well as oversite for the bookkeeping functions of the company, including but not limited payroll, month end reconciliation.
Our superstar Cost Accountant will ideally have all of the below however we may be flexible on one or two factors:
- Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principals.
- Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
- Experience with MAPICS a plus • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
